A librarian can be decribed as an information scientist who finds useful information for the survival of  a society,stores it and gives it out as and when it is needed.
A librarian plays a very pivotal role in the socio economic development of a modern society by providng information that helps in policy making decisions.

    This I would say is a wrong perception. The nature of the work is that; if you are lazy you would have a good grounds to continue with your laziness. However, is a platform or the only profession where serious minded people could explore all the talents they have to come out with the best. Food for thought.
